It may be the first, but it's not the best
It's hard to tell which games influenced which other games. Due to the fact that we call element combining games "Alchemy" games, one would assume that Alchemy came first. Regardless, other games have since improved on the Alchemy mechanics to the point where going back to the original feels like a step backward. For one thing, once you've combined two elements to create a third, the initial two disappear from the screen. You have to double-tap to bring back the four standard elements, which might double up on some if they're already there. For another thing, there's no organization to the elements that keeps them from cluttering up the screen. So while you may have a soft spot in your heart for this classic, just know that there are other, better Alchemy games out there. -- Keoni C.
You have only four basic elements: Fire, Water, Earth and Air. Combine them and their products to get more than 300 new elements. You can create a Life, Beer, Vampires, Skyscrapers and much more..
