It's hard to get into the virtual pet space and not pattern a game after Pokemon. After all, it's such a successful model that it's still going strong after all these years. But Mobbles is slightly different, in that you go out into the real world to find and capture the little critters. Once you've captured one, you must take care of it, feed it, clean it, and play with it, just like any other virtual pet. There is a paid content mechanic in force, but it's fairly mild and unobtrusive, at least in the game's early stages.
