The Sims are back!
People have been anticipating The Sims FreePlay for quite a while, and now it's finally here, and player reactions are mixed. The extreme reactions are that it's fantastic, or -- notably from Bionic phone owners -- that there are serious graphical issues. Some report that it crashes a lot, while others say that it's smooth and responsive. Technical issues aside, it plays much as you'd expect a Sims game to play; you can customize your Sim's appearance to a great extent, fulfill your Sim's needs, and buy items for their house. What's new is the dog that you get right off the bat, who is able to dig up random items for you, just like in Fable 2. Also, the virtual currency mechanic is in full force here, which will annoy some and delight others. This makes the name "FreePlay" a little misleading, but for all of its issues, The Sims' latest still looks amazing and plays very well. -- Keoni C.
