Crash Course: Ice is a game that could work on any platform, but feels great on the Android. Essentially a top-down shooter, you'll navigate a small spherical landscape to eliminate a tide of enemies that keep warping in. Despite my derision concerning on-screen d-pads and joysticks, the controls here work pretty well and don't get in the way of the action. Power-ups drop from destroyed enemies fairly regularly, and you can switch between different modes of fire, which can really help at times. But perhaps one of the most interesting elements of Crash Course: Ice is that it has a 3D mode. I haven't had the opportunity to see how well it works, but looking at it with naked eyes, it looks just like all 3D, so it probably works fine. Will it enhance or detract of gameplay? STORY
