Radiant Defense is a neon dream that conjurers memories of the 8-Bit days of yore. This dream is saturated with humor, good music, and excellent tower defense styled game play. However, packed in this stylish dream is a nightmare of hard game play. Believe me, I use 'hard' in the best possible way. In 10 levels deceptive in longevity you will have to defend against seemingly endless waves of alien hordes. The way you do this is by using weapons and building mazes to redirect your enemies to where you want them. Sounds easy, but believe me, this game is not for the faint of heart. While playing the game I often felt that the enemy AI was smarter than my own defenses. I guess the enemy should be smart since they are aliens and all that. Though the game is hard, it is still forgiving and allows you to restart waves without a penalty. You can even purchase premium upgrade packs to help you out. This is a game that takes patience to master and a little dedication to find the right approaches to win. Radiant Defense is a great Android title that seems like it would be right at home on a Nintendo 3DS due to its top notch graphic style and music from an obviously gifted composer. The developers of this game have really thought about the little things, all the way down to a good menu screen. Radiant Defense has an excellent menu that grants easy access to game help, hi-scores, options and info on other Hexage games. Overall this game is a great package and is very well put together.
