If you have a personal OV-Chipcard you can use OV-Chip Checker to check your balance and transaction history. Register for an account at http://www.ov-chipkaart.nl and enter the login credentials in the application.
OV-Chip Checker supports the use of multiple accounts, but only 1 card per account. The application is ad-supported but ads can be removed by purchasing OV-Chip Checker Plus.
The Plus-version will display a longer travel history and provides notifications when you forgot to check out (so you can file a claim), when your balance is low or when your balance is automatically charged from your bank account. Additional Plus-features are a widget and a backup & restore-option.
